Sainte-Émélie-de-l’Énergie is a municipality in the regional county municipality of Matawinie, located in the administrative region of Lanaudière, in Quebec, Canada.
Lac Daniel was commonly called Lac aux poissons blancs until the year 1955. It was named Lac Daniel in honor of the first son of the Desmarchais family who were the first family to build a cottage around the lake.
About your stay
A beautiful, cozy and comfortable chalet on the shores of Lake Daniel, in Ste-Émélie-de-l’Énergie in Lanaudière.
Only 75 minutes from Montreal, this little gem is located on the mountainside with a superb view of the lake and nature.
You will find on the ground a playground in summer and a slide in winter. A spacious garden level sheltered from bad weather to relax and enjoy the moment.
Direct access to the lake, a natural lake, without motor, where you can practice several activities in summer such as:
swimming, fishing, pedalo, etc … and in winter: skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, etc …
With its paths and small private roads, hiking is wonderful in all seasons.

We have been living in this beautiful region of Lanaudière for over 50 years. Our parents, friends and neighbors form a very beautiful community at Lac Daniel. The community regularly organizes activities for everyone to enjoy, such as: fireworks, BBQ on the ice in winter, skating rink around the lake, gathering of pedal boats in summer, etc.

House Policies
The tranquility of the place must be respected at all times (no parties) it is therefore important to respect the neighborhood after 10 pm.
Respect the environment (waste, bottles, cigarette ends, outdoors, etc.).
Appropriately use the equipment according to its uses. The equipment made available to you should be stored after use in the appropriate places (eg: outdoor cushions, life jackets, outdoor games, etc.). Do not leave the cushions outside on rainy days.
Notify owners of any missing or broken equipment.
It is forbidden to smoke inside the chalet (Non-smoking chalet).
It is forbidden to have animals at the chalet under any circumstances.
A single yellow 4-seater pedal boat (848) is available to you on the way down to the lake access. You cannot use other resident’s boats.
Clean and brush the BBQ after each use.
Before leaving, empty all your trash cans and put them in the path.
Empty the refrigerator and start the dishwasher.
In winter, set the thermostats to 10º degrees before leaving.
Arrival &
Departure
Occupancy times
For all packages, the arrival time is from 4 pm and the departure time is no later than 11 am.
However, unless the chalet is already rented on the day of your departure, it is possible to postpone your departure time to 4 pm.
For the weekend package, the occupancy period is from Friday to Sunday;
For the 5-day package, the occupancy period is from Monday to Friday;
For the week package, the occupancy period is from Friday to the following Friday;
For holiday packages, Easter, Patriots’ Day, St-Jean Baptiste, Canada Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the occupancy period is from Friday to Monday.
Reservation & Cancellation
Rental conditions
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is requested when making your reservation payable by bank transfer.
The dates will be reserved upon receipt of the reservation deposit.
The rental agreement will be emailed to you.
The balance must be paid 10 days before your arrival.
A security deposit of $ 300.00 payable by bank transfer is required, it will be returned to you in full by bank transfer in the following week, provided that the chalet is returned in the same condition as on your arrival.

The maximum number must be respected (maximum of 6 people).
Accommodation tax of 3.5% not included.
Basic rate (2024) for 4 people

*** A supplement of $ 300 for Christmas week, New Year’s week, spring break, as well as for each of the last two weeks of July.
For all packages, the arrival time is from 4 pm and the departure time 11 am.
However, unless the chalet is already rented on the day of your departure, it is possible to postpone your departure time at 4 pm.
Apart from this postponed departure with a slight supplement, the chalet occupancy policies are as follows:
- For the weekend package, the occupancy period is from Friday to Sunday;

- For holiday packages, namely Easter, Patriots’ Day, St-Jean Baptiste, Canada Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving, the occupancy period is from Friday to Monday..
Rental conditions

- The balance of the invoice as well as a security deposit of $ 300.00 must be paid by bank transfer 10 days before your arrival.
- The deposit will be returned to you in full by bank transfer the week following your departure, provided that the chalet is returned in the same condition as on your arrival.
